The New Diana ISD School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) is an advisory group whose members include parents, students, teachers, staff members and community representation. The group acts collectively to provide advice to the school district on all aspects of the school health program. The council can review and recommend coordinated school health strategies for integrating appropriate curriculum components through the following: health education, physical education, physical activity, nutrition services, parental involvement, counseling and guidance services, human sexuality instruction, employee wellness, and a safe and healthy school environment.

NDISD SHAC MISSION
The mission of the NDISD SHAC is to support and make recommendations concerning the district’s health education instruction. The committee’s actions and recommendations will accurately reflect current health issues facing identified national concerns and the local community needs.
